Introducing… The New Type 1 Diabetes Website from About.com
November 13th, 2008 by admin | Filed under Diabetes news.
Until recently, this website has been dedicated to people with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. As your friendly diabetes guide here at About.com, I can tell you that there is a vast amount of information that needs to be made available for the millions of people diagnosed with diabetes. Although both type 1 and type 2 are similar in some ways, there are enough differences between the two, in management, treatments and other issues, that the topic warrants two separate websites.
Meet Gary Gilles, a freelance health writer, university instructor and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). He specializes in helping individuals and families with diabetes. Gary is the new guide to the brand new website, Type 1 Diabetes, here at About.com.
Gary has great resources for kids with type 1, and their parents. He also has information for people who have been diagnosed with type 1 as adults. Join me in welcoming Gary to About.com.
