Turn Off That Reality Show and Walk Your Way to Health

How hard is it to walk for 30 minutes? It isn’t any harder that hitting the off button on the remote and heading out the door. There isn’t a reality show on television that’s as important as your own reality.

I checked out CalorieCount.com to see how many calories I could burn in 1/2 hour. Walking for 30 minutes burns about 120 calories. It might not seem like a lot, but if you walk for 30 minutes every single day, that’s 840 calories a week. Multiply 840 times four, and that’s 3,360 calories a month. A pound is worth 3,500 calories, so with a little quick math, it isn’t hard to see that 30 minutes of walking will help you drop about 12 pounds a year, without changing anything else in your life. How’s that for reality?

Start your own reality show. Thirty minutes everyday… starring you, your health, and your quality of life. Walk like your life depends on it, because it does.
