Try to imagine what happens if you can’t feel your feet and you sprain your ankle. As you can’t feel it, imagine what happens as you keep walking on that sprained ankle. This is what can happen in diabetes and is known as Charcot’s foot (or Charcot’s neuroarthropathy).
